Why We Started ClearShift
At ClearShift, we believe that work should open doors — not just pay the bills. We saw too many talented people stuck in endless job hunts, and too many businesses left short-staffed when they needed great people the most.
We’ve felt those frustrations ourselves. We’ve been the ones looking for a shift, and we’ve been the ones trying to fill a last-minute gap. We knew there had to be a better way.
So we built ClearShift: a smarter, more human way to connect. A platform that understands what it’s like to hustle in hospitality — and one that puts people first. Because when good people find the right opportunities, the whole industry gets stronger.

Charné
Charné lives and breathes hospitality. From her start behind the bar to being crowned South Africa’s Bartender of the Year, she’s always believed in raising the standard of service. As co-founder of The HiBall Cocktail Bar, she knows how tough it can be to find great staff — and how powerful it is when you do. At ClearShift, her passion drives everything we do.
Anthony
Anthony has worked every angle of the service industry — managing teams, training professionals, and delivering unforgettable events. He knows what great hospitality feels like from the inside, and how crucial the right people are. ClearShift is his way of making those connections happen, faster and better.
Alan
Alan builds platforms that bring people together. With years of experience in creating online marketplaces, he brings the tech and the thinking behind ClearShift. But he’s not just about systems — he’s bartended too, and he gets the hustle. For him, ClearShift is a way to make the invisible visible and help professionals get the recognition and opportunities they deserve.
