No. ClearShift is not an employer, recruiter, or labour broker. We simply connect you with trusted establishments looking for hospitality professionals. You choose when and where you want to work, and you are paid directly by the establishment for your shifts or contracts.
We work with professionals who have experience in hospitality or a strong interest in growing in the industry — including bartenders, waiters, baristas, chefs, kitchen assistants, hosts, and event coordinators.
You must be professional, punctual, and committed to excellent service.

Once approved, we’ll create your profile on our system and include you in our network of verified professionals.
When establishments request staff that match your skills and availability, we’ll contact you directly about the opportunity.
You’ll receive messages from ClearShift via WhatsApp or email when suitable opportunities arise.
You can also check our website or app to view available roles once you’re registered.
We connect professionals with a variety of placements:
Long-Term Placement – full-time employment (6+ months)
Fixed-Term Contract – up to 6 months
Casual Staffing – regular shifts for ongoing establishments
Events – single-day or multi-day event staffing
Staff on Demand / Urgent Cover – last-minute shifts (within 72 hours)
No. ClearShift never charges professionals any registration or placement fees.
Our service is free for professionals — establishments pay ClearShift a placement fee.
You’ll be paid directly by the establishment for each shift or engagement, unless otherwise specified for certain events where ClearShift manages payments.
You’ll always know who is responsible for payment before the shift starts.
If a confirmed shift or event is cancelled, we’ll do our best to replace it with another opportunity as soon as possible.
You’ll be notified immediately if a cancellation occurs.
Please notify us immediately via WhatsApp if you can’t attend a shift.
We’ll help arrange a replacement.
Late or repeated cancellations without valid reasons may affect future placements.
Experience helps, but it’s not always required.
We look for people with a great attitude, good presentation, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
Some establishments are happy to train new professionals with the right mindset.
We match professionals based on experience, reliability, skills, and feedback from past shifts.
Our goal is to create the best possible match for both sides.
Yes! Many of our professionals work across multiple venues and events.
We encourage flexibility — just let us know your availability so we can match you accordingly.
Yes. If both you and the establishment were happy, you can request to return for future shifts.

We’ll assist with communication and ensure any concerns are handled fairly.
We expect all professionals and establishments to maintain respectful working relationships.
Your personal details are used only for connecting you with verified establishments and coordinating shifts.
We never share your data with third parties or use it for marketing without consent.
We’re based in Cape Town but assist professionals across major cities in South Africa when opportunities are available.
